muzak revolution?

is this just a hawaii thing? i have heard: Belle & Sebastian at the Ben Franklin; the Ramones at Long's Drug Store; and, perhaps most surprisingly, New Order at Ace Hardware.

wtf? are mainland stores moving away from the "I Will Always Love You" school of sap as well?

Maybe it has something to do with the meth crisis the islands are experiencing huh... maybe the tweakers that work in those stores are trying to keep their groove going and Muzak just wasn't cutting it.

hahahaha! i'd be inclined to agree except that 1) they listen to stuff like the skullf***ers and thrash metal, and 2) they ain't got no jobs!

they got the Zombie Walk down, though. sometimes it looks like a George Romero film up in here-uh. hottt.
